Recognition

"A beautifully written novel. Berman has created characters and plot that are compelling and complex. I was transported and moved. A poignant book to read in this troubled world."

Meet the Author

I was born and raised and went to college in New Jersey. Before finishing college, I spent time in Israel, and it was that trip that inspired my first novel, "A Different Sky." After graduation, I taught middle school social studies before deciding to go to law school. Practicing for several years in the private sector and as Senior Litigation Counsel for a large NJ corporation, I decided to turn in my briefcase to pursue my love of writing fiction and spending more time with my family. Happily, I never looked back. My husband and I currently split our time between the beautiful New Jersey shore and the peaceful hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut, spending our days surrounded by nature's greatest gifts.

THE JOYS OF AN AUTHOR TALK

I recently gave an Author Talk to a book club in Somerset, NJ. The host was wonderful. She offered authentic Israeli food and decor, and the members came with compelling and provoking questions. The conversation that ensued added a special layer to the readers’ connection to Rachel. Interacting in real-time with readers makes the book come alive in a way that has no match. Contact me to discuss setting up an author talk.
